Kathmandu Model Hospital School of Oral Health

Kathmandu Model Hospital School of Oral Health (KMH-SOH), situated centrally in Bag Bazar, Kathmandu, was set up in 2000 by phect-NEPAL with the objective of conducting a structured academic program on oral health under the affiliation of CTEVT, thus becoming a trailblazer in providing for the increasing demand of skilled Dental Hygienists in Nepal. The school has initiated a 2-year training program on Dental Hygiene, which is the first such program in Nepal, and from 2005 onwards, it has been offering a 3-year PCL level program in "Certificate in Dental Science," which has NHPC accreditation too. As the school is based on the premise of Kathmandu Model Hospital, it has all the facilities necessary for conducting a quality Dental Hygienist course. The practical aspect of the course is conducted at the VSOG Dental Clinic. The school takes pride in being a community-oriented technical academic institution that cares for its students and helps them in becoming confident and competent. The curriculum followed is need-based community oriented to facilitate students in gaining knowledge practically. Thus, the school provides a supportive learning environment for those who want to pursue a career in the field of dental health.
